Google’s New Tool for Marketers

Posted by on Oct 9, 2018 in Content Marketing, Google |

Earlier this year, Google rolled out an exciting tool for marketers, specifically marketers who are engaged in video campaigns. Google’s Reach Planner helps you plan your reach on YouTube and other video sharing platforms. The tool is available in Google AdWords; it is currently still in its Beta phase of testing. It allows you to get unique data on your reach in more than fifty countries and you can look at people’s demographics all the way down to the devices that people are using to watch your videos. You can get recommendations based on your budget and the assets you have available. You could, for example, tell Google’s Reach Planner that you have 3 minutes of video, what your budget is, and ask for advice on how to go about marketing your video on YouTube. In just a few clicks, you’ll see a reach curve, frequency, and other key metrics for the audience you defined. You can also make on-the-fly adjustments to flighting or other campaign inputs to see how these metrics change. Reach Planner can be used to: Reach audiences across multiple devices. Accurately plan the reach of your ads across YouTube and Google video partner sites and apps in 50+ global markets. Develop Target Rating Point and Cost Per Point calculations. If you have a Google Sales Representative, then you can request that the Reach Planner is added to your AdWords account. Need help with your video marketing campaigns? Content Marketing Campaigns Drives Organic Traffic to Your Site

Posted by on Oct 8, 2018 in Digital Media Marketing |

Getting traffic to your website is not always easy, especially if your business is in a mature industry. While a traditional approach to optimizing on-page content could have led to moderate increases in organic traffic in the past, an integrated and strategic content marketing campaign is needed to drive bigger results and a better ROI today. To get this right, you need to identify information that your potential customers are searching for online and determine which concepts could yield the highest reward. From there, WSI OMS’ SEO and content team work together to create a content plan. Within this plan, everything from how the content will slot into the website’s architecture and the topics of the individual content pieces to where the content will be published and distributed is laid out. Some of the types of content that can support your content marketing campaign include emails, blog posts, social media updates and submissions to article databases. All of these distributing methods will increase the number of people that will be able to read the information you are sharing online. The goal of your content is to educate your clients or help them to solve a challenge that they are facing. The content must be well-researched, well-written and easy to read. Your company’s skills and expertise will be clearly highlighted in the content so that your brand is associated with knowledgeable and helpful online content. Posted by on Oct 4, 2018 in Copywriting |

Great copywriting goes a long way, especially online. Quality content is the most effective way to grab your audience’s attention and keep it. Sadly, most businesses don’t realise the power of great copywriting to inform, engage and eventually convert readers into paying customers. So here are a few reasons why you should invest in better copy for your website: There is More to Your Website Than Its Visual Appeal It is important to have a website that looks great, it does the hard work of making a good first impression on your audience. But, even though a pretty face will grab your reader’s attention, it won’t keep them interested. Great copywriting ensures that once the visual appeal wears off, the reader will find the information they’re looking for, while getting a clear sense of what your brand and business is about. Great Copywriting Boosts Your SEO Rankings Every business wants that top spot in the Google rankings, it increases visibility and improves your chances of winning new customers. Keywords are necessary for Search Engine Optimisation but stuffing them into your web copy will make your content impossible to understand or relate to. Great copywriting satisfies both the search engine and the reader: It shows Google that you’re a credible source with high-quality content, and It ensures your content is relevant and informative to your readers.  It is Your Best Salesperson Great copy sells. And it does so without your customer knowing. It serves three important functions: It gives your brand a voice and makes it sound human, It builds familiarity and trust with your reader, and It communicates your company’s products and services in a memorable way. What Are the Most-Hated UI Web Design Features?

Posted by on Oct 2, 2018 in Website Design |

Are you using only the best UI Web Design features? We look at some unpopular web design features and the mistakes you could be making on your website design. Complex Layout and Readability Your website should be seamless and easy to read. Pages containing multiple graphs, links, pictures or overlapping texts create clutter and makes it difficult for users to navigate through. Be aware of bad colour schemes such as light text on a white background or text that are too small to read. Instead, the text should be an average size of 16 px or more and headings should be bold and well-defined. Avoid unnecessary links or irrelevant pictures. Bad Navigation Correct content marketing is important to ensure that your website is effective in the digital age. Websites that lead to updated or outdated links can impact your business and prevent users from returning to your site. Ensure that links are not broken and that your social media links and contact details are listed clearly in the website on top of the page for quick access. Uncreative or Boring UI. Even the most corporate websites should contain engaging topics and a website that is fun for visitors to use. Adding a good design theme, bright pictures and easy to use customized buttons are effective in this regard. This will get users to stay and interact with your web design, as well as help your search engine optimization. Need help with your Website Design or SEO Marketing? Then contact WSI OMS today. Black Friday and E-commerce – A Match Made in Heaven

Posted by on Oct 1, 2018 in Ecommerce |

Black Friday is the biggest shopping holiday of the year. We look at why it is best suited for e-commerce and at its impact on e-commerce marketing. Traffic Boost on E-commerce Websites Popular e-commerce websites see a significant increase in traffic to their websites during the week leading up to this day. This can be further increased by creating content marketing specifically aimed at Black Friday deals, including promotions and emails related to sales. It is important that websites prepare a good digital marketing strategy for e-commerce marketing in preparation for the traffic leading up to this day. This will ensure that their websites are equipped to handle the increase in visitors. Expansion of Target Market Research has shown that over 50% of shoppers prefer to shop online on Black Friday. Buyers are likely to visit websites for the sole purpose of making quick purchases rather than spend a day at shopping malls. Black Friday marketing can, therefore, target existing users as well as bring new users to e-commerce websites. The increase in sales satisfaction on this day can bring in loyal customers that will visit the website for the rest of the year. Use of Social Media Social media is the best way to take advantage of marketing on Black Friday. Hashtags and link building strategies are put into place during the sale. This leads to an effective promotion of goods and services offered on websites. Not only can this boost sales and visitors to websites, but it will also help users to gain a more personal experience via their own social media accounts.
